Pianos and EPs not playing in Worship Essentials Plus

In Worship Essentials Plus, the main MIDI channel for all instruments is intended to be Channel 1, and then another channel can be used for Drone Tools if desired. If your keyboard sends its notes on a different MIDI channel than 1, then the Kontakt plugins that host the piano and EP sample libraries may ignore the notes.

Most of the time, people don't realize their keyboard is sending notes on a channel other than 1, and it can easily be fixed by a factory reset or using its editor software/internal settings to change the MIDI output channel. However, in some cases, the keyboard may be difficult to use or you are unable to make changes. In that case, we can easily change the Kontakt plugin to accept MIDI from anywhere.

1

Find the channel strip of the non-working instrument, and click to open the Kontakt plugin.

2

Click the small "i" to make sure the instrument settings are showing.

3

Locate the "MIDI Ch" area.

4

Click on the "MIDI Ch" area and change the existing value to "omni".
